Compare & Contrast Essay 2 - Second Draft (Calling and Texting Message)

                COMPARING CALLING AND TEXTING MESSAGES

Technology has grown so much in decades. With the developing technology.Mobile phones have become an indispensable part of human life. Although many new features have been added to a cell phone, people use it mostly for texting messages and calling purposes. Even if texting and phone calls aim to communicate people, they both have their differences.
To start with, texting messages is the newest way of written communication. Today, more and more people use texting rather than speaking on the phone because texting is cheaper. It economically benefits people by having lower prices than calling. That is why texting messages are more preferred to younger such as students. Using texting, people can send messages that couldn’t verbally transfer. When a face-to-face or phone conversation is not possible, texting messages allow people to contact with others and they use some symbols to express their emotions. For example, you are in a lesson and you can’t talk on your cell phone in class. So, it is better to use texting to speak with someone. Another example is that when you have to inform someone about a credit card number or email address, it is difficult to explain this information by calling because the other person can misunderstand what you want to transfer. With a message, people can send correct information to have a better communication and also this information can be saved in the cell phone. Whenever people want, they can use it as long as the messages are not deleted. All these reasons do it a better way of communication.
On the other hand, calling is a way of verbal communication. Although the price of phone calls expensive, it is more preferred to the elderly because they are not used to the messaging.
Texting message is generally used for the urgent situations. It allows people to have a fast communication. For example, when people should ask something to the other person immediately, they call and ask their wants. Another example is that when there is an accident or disaster such as fire, people directly call the ambulance or fire brigade and also they need to give direction of the place of event via a phone calling. In addition to these, phone calls allow people to feel better and happier when they hear the voice of their lovers. Not only are they speaking for hours, but also they can share some emotions such as laughing, anger, joy etc… naturally. So calling is more meaningful.
In conclusion, communication through texting messages and calling have both advantages and disadvantages, and both of them are essential for humanity. So in my opinion, it is better to use them depending on the situation.

COMPARING SINGLE LIFE AND MARRIED LIFE
In our society, a lot of people choose being single or being married. This choice depends on themselves. If we compare single people lives and married people life, there are three main differences in their lifestyle, responsibility and money.
Firstly, lifestyle is the first difference between single and married people life. Single people are free.  They have got more leisure time in their lives and they can use their time according to their desire such as outdoor activities. In contrast, married people cannot do any plan without consulting their partner and they can not spend their time with their friends in anywhere and anytime they want .You must consider everything from your husband or wife’s point of view, but when you are single, you only have to consider your own point. For example, you are a married woman and you are invited a meeting with your high school friends for the following day evening. Firstly, you think your children and your husband . Then, you call your husband to ask him whether you have a plan for tomorrow evening and he can interest in  your children . According to his answer, you can have a decision for the meeting. Comparing this situating, single people can decide for something in less time.
Second, responsibility is another difference between them. Single people have less responsibility than married people. Generally, single people do their individual works, but married people are responsible for a lot of people in their home.  While single people are as individual, married people are as a wife and a husband or a father and a mother in their life. They are responsible for raising their children and guiding for their families. By comparison, people who are single aren’t obliged to guide someone or look after a child. Thus, they are less busy than married people.
Third one is money. If a single person earns his/her own money, this money can be spend freely without thinking. On the other hand, married people do not  waste their money even if they earn their own money because they tend to think the necessity of the members of their families. Being married can be costly. For example, you are married. You have to pay some bills. If you have not   your own house, you have to pay the rent of your house with your money.

To sum up, there are two options that are being single or get married. Which option people prefer is up to them because of the some significant differences such as lifestyle, responsibility and money.
